Comet Swan

Updated: 11.12.06

Comet Swan surprised many and became a naked eye object during the latter part of October. This shot was taken on the 30th, which unfortunately, was after the tail started to lose definition. There does appear to be a flare off to the upper left side of the coma, with some tail detail in the region just below. This image was taken at a campground in Pennsylvania.
