Helix Nebula

Updated: 12.11.03

NGC7293 is more commonly known as the Helix Nebula, a large planetary nebula in the constellation of Aquarius. A close look around the ring will reveal that this area is rich in galaxies. At least 7 galaxies are relatively easy to pick out within the nebulosity in this particular image. This shot was taken at the Chiefland Star Party, 2003.
