NGC7000

Updated: 9.26.06

NGC7000 is well known as the North American Nebula for its obvious resemblance to its namesake. It is a very large emission nebula that is located very close to Deneb, in the constellation of Cynus. This particular image concentrates on the lower portion, which contains 'Mexico' and a large, well defined structure known as the Great Wall.
