NGC6822

Updated: 10.4.04

NGC6822 is also known as Banard's Galaxy, a dwarf galaxy in the constellation of Sagittarius. The object is extremely faint, but includes a number of associated nebulae, including the "Bubble" (not NGC7635), located at the bottom right of this image. It is more reminiscent of a cornucopia to my eyes. This shot was taken at Chiefland, after Hurricane Frances and before Hurricane Jeanne!
