NGC4559

Updated: 4.22.05

NGC4559 is a reasonably large 12' x 5' galaxy with a mag 10 brightness. It is located in the constellation of Coma Berenices and shows some nice, but small details. Only a few of the brighter knots and fainter arm regions extend out further than 3' or so from the center. This image was taken at Chiefland during the Spring Party with the 10" Newtonian.
