NGC1491

Updated: 12.7.04

NGC1491 is a smaller emission nebula in the constellation of Perseus, but with some interesting details and what appears to be some streamers eminating from behind the pillars. The background in this particular image appears quite reddish, but is due to the faint nebulosity that permeates the entire region. This image was taken at Chiefland during the 2004 November Star Party.
