Mars

Updated: 8.16.03

Here's my first planet shot in 1.5 years! WIth the closest opposition in 60,000 years, it's a must image object! This was taken with 2 barlows stacked to yield a focal length of 13400 mm (f/44.7)! The details match well to the Mars Previewer software. The slightly larger and brighter spot towards the middle bottom (north side) is the well known Olympus Mons.
