M66

Updated: 3.15.05

Part of the famous Leo Trio, M66 is a nice galaxy with an unusual shape, probably due to interactions with its nearest neighbors, including M65 and NGC3628. Like the other 2 nearby galaxies, this is a large 9.2' x 4.2' object with a 9.6 magnitude brightness. This was taken at Chiefland.
