M33

Updated: 11.25.08

This shot of M33, the Pinwheel Galaxy in Triangulum, was taken at the new Chiefland Star Party in October. It was taken with the SXVF-H36 camera and 10" f/4 Newtonian on a clear cold Florida night. A number of small nebula are visible and the Newtonian has sufficient resolution to resolve many of the blue giants in the arms. This is a large object, with an apparent size of 70.8' x 41.7'.
