M16

Updated: 6.29.02

The 80mm Stellarvue at f/6 does a nice job framing the Eagle. This image (along with the one of M42) highlights the capability of the little scope well. An IDAS LPR filter was used to minimize the signal in the extreme IR and UV. The Eagle Nebula was made more recently famous by the Hubble shot of the "Pillars of Creation"! This shot was taken in extremely dark skies of rural Norwich, NY (mag 6+).
