The Pelican Nebula, IC5070, is part of a huge complex of nebulosity located in the constellation of Cygnus. It neighbors the larger and well known North American Nebula, NGC7000. This shot was taken with an H-alpha filter for 116 minutes. The red frame from a Maxim constructed RGB was used for the luminance. The image was taken at a mag 5 location near Allentown, Pa.
