Fornax cluster

Updated: 12.4.03

NGC1365 is the dominant visual member of the Fornax galaxy cluster (top right of frame) and is a large and beautiful barred spiral in its own right. This wide field shot was taken in the Tak Sky90 with flattener and still does not capture the full extent of the grouping. A close look at the image reveals approximately 50 to 60 galaxies in the frame. This shot was taken during the Chiefland Star Party.
