NGC3521

Updated: 3.28.05

Another bright Leo galaxy, NGC3521 resembles very closely the look of M63, the Sunflower. It is a smaller version at 7' x 4', but at mag 8.9, a very bright galaxy. There is an unusually large amount of vertical outflow, as most images of this galaxy show. This was taken at Chiefland during the CFAS Astrofest held there in March, '05.
